Drone Summit 2026: Media Registration Now Open

The Ministry of Defence of Latvia invites media representatives to cover the second International Drone Summit, which is expected to bring together up to 2,000 participants, including prominent speakers and guests, political leaders from Drone Coalition member states, as well as military experts, scientists, entrepreneurs, and leaders of the drone industry.

Drone Summit 2026 will take place on 27 May at the ATTA Centre in Riga.

Media representatives are invited to cover the event by registering their attendance in advance, no later than 5 May at 17:00, by submitting an application via the registration link. The working language of the event will be English. Applications received after the indicated deadline will not be processed.

Each application will be reviewed for compliance with the event’s thematic and security criteria, and the organisers reserve the right to reject any application.

Following approval, a confirmation email will be sent with further instructions regarding accreditation. Information about the media programme and opportunities to arrange interviews with summit participants will also be provided, including experts from Ukraine and the United States, as well as representatives of Latvian and international defence industry companies.

Compared to 2025, this year’s programme will be expanded and organised as a series of complementary events, covering various NATO and European-level activities in May and June 2026.

The international Drone Coalition consists of 20 member countries whose aim is to ensure the delivery of drones, technological support, and personnel training to meet Ukraine’s needs. In 2024, total support from Drone Coalition member states for Ukraine’s drone capabilities reached €1.8 billion. Latvia allocated a total of €45 million to the Drone Coalition in 2024 and 2025. In 2026, funding has been increased to €50 million, which will be used to procure drones from Latvian manufacturers.

As previously reported, on 28 May last year, Riga hosted the first defence innovation summit, Drone Summit 2025, which brought together more than 1,500 high-level political leaders, military experts, scientists, and defence industry representatives from 20 Drone Coalition member states and partner countries.
